Description

Di Gu Pi – 地骨皮
Latin name: Cortex Lycii Radicis
Common name: Wolfberry Root Bark / Lycium Bark
Part used: Root Bark
Traditional meridian affiliation: Lung, Liver, Kidney

Di Gu Pi (地骨皮) is recognised in traditional Chinese herbal theory as an herb that cools the Blood and clears heat from deficiency. Its flavour is sweet and bland with a cold nature. It is indicated for patterns involving Yin deficiency fire, such as steaming bone disorders, night sweats, irritability, thirst, and internal heat that may lead to bleeding (e.g. hematuria, epistaxis). It also supports the lungs by clearing Lung heat and may help with cough or wheezing.

Phoenix Medical’s Di Gu Pi is cultivated under DaoDi principles in its classical production regions. It is dried without sulphur and grown free from synthetic herbicides or pesticides. The processing is done in GMP-certified facilities, with each batch fully traceable and rigorously tested to meet EU and UK quality, safety, and purity standards.
